Cos people have to go out to get magazines and newspaper? No-one gets those delivered... and people will only sit at home reading their iPads and what-nots.

I was talking about the fact that as the world gets more digitised, people will have less reason to go outside. Or, maybe, more of an excuse not to  I know if I worked via the internet, I wouldn't go outside much. I'd buy everything online (pretty much already do actually), I'd be working online, I'd be talking to all my friends online... I'd have no need to go outside. It would only be if I wanted to that I would, not if I needed to. Of course, that's totally taking it to an absurd limit, but hey, it could happen. Anybody ever seen "The Net" with Sandra Bullock? The main character loses her whole life basically because she didn't really interact with anyone bar through the internet. |

I can understand the possibility is out there, and makes me wonder how far the line should be pushed (into the house) before it gets too ridiculous.

I do my food shopping online every time xD Though to be fair it's kind of impossible for me to get food otherwise (I do have a co-op across the road but it's not huge and they're not exactly cheap, lol!).
