Well when I watched Firefly a couple of years ago, it was practically the same..... I don't get all the hype about Firefly. I really don't think it's that great :S

Never really seen much of Firefly, but I wouldn't mind watching Serenity. I saw a couple of trailers for that but never got around to watching it....

Firefly? That's just a copy of Andromeda!! D: (1) Get out. Now. (2) That smiley looks more like he's having a stroke, or had his eye poked out rather than winking.

Firefly is fine, not the best thing ever though.

Firefly is more than fine. It is a grand fusion of sci-fi and westerns settings, laid beneath a blanket of fantastic story-telling, compelling and deep characters, delivered by a combination of a fantastic cast and crew.

Which would be vastly improved if it had an ending

That's not their fault. That is the utter stupidity of Fox.

Firefly is more than fine. It is a grand fusion of sci-fi and westerns settings, laid beneath a blanket of fantastic story-telling, compelling and deep characters, delivered by a combination of a fantastic cast and crew. And is also amazingly similar to Andromeda The only good thing about Firefly is Alan Tudyk, because he's Steve the pirate!! Arrr!!

And guys - I think everyone's entitled to say one thing is like another - it's why we like them right? Most stuff is just reproduction of stuff that's been successful in the past...

That's not their fault. That is the utter stupidity of Fox. Not really, it's the fact that there aren't many die hard fans, Serenity bombed too, and that had nothing to do with FOX.

Actually, it was to do with Fox's mismanagement of the show, starting with not showing the first episode, until about 8 weeks in, and then showing the rest of it in a screwed up order, so I no-one really knew what was going on.

Farscape is amazing I met Ben Browder (John Crichton) last year at LFCC; he's a really nice guy ^_^

I never actually managed to stick with farscape for long, I watched about 4 episodes and it bored me.... Firefly was also, not that great to me, I guess its largely to do with the entire movie deal, but I wasn't impressed that much by the plot its-elf, the background and details were fairly good, as were to a good deal the genera visual creativeness a lot of the time. Although I still keep up with the franchise, the recent "Float out" one shot comic,, was pretty good. Andromeda suffers from being just old notes from Gene Roddenberry, if he'd actually been alive to make the series it could have been a lot better than it was its still pretty good but my least favourite of the three. Oh and the best sci-fi series ever was Blakes 7, so you can all stop your arguments now

Yup, I did! Got his autograph ^_^ Stargate is probably my favourite too, though I've only managed to watch up to about season 7, and not every episode I did skip ahead last year before LFCC and watch some with Ben Browder though
