It's crazy.... I have both versions of one of the opening songs for Bleach (Life is like a boat - Rie Fu), and I get really confused when the TV size one comes on because I start going on the sing the other verses when they're not in that one xD

When the Hallyu Wave - the Korean pop music scene - is characterised by auto-tune and electro-pop beats only one woman decided to go for the urban root. If anything testified Hyori Lee's power as a pop star and proved that she is the biggest pop star on the peninsula it was that decision. Any other pop act who dared suggest that to SME or JYP would promptly be put in their slave contracted place. The album is ridiculous - a guilty pleasure filled with cocky phrases and a thumping beat. The Engrish is a little ridiculous; I found myself singing aloud "DON'T HATE ME 'CAUSE I'M BLAAAAAACCCKK!" as opposed to "BACK!" on her sound 'I'm Back'. ;D Who knows, maybe Hyori was attempting an anti-racism song and her handlers mistranslated? The powers that be know that the leader of SNSD and the lead vocalist of Big Bang need such a track.
Then pretty much, as I joked would happen, half the album turned out to be a rip-off - actually, no! The word rip-off does not even begin to capture the sheer scale of sameness. Those seven songs from the album are an exact copy of what, it turns out, her producer had found on a youtube search. I don't, as many music critics agree, blame Hyori but rather her producer who is going to have some won to pay over. I believe it's fifty-five million won.
