I though that the idea looked cool in the trailer but I don't think it looked particularly well made.

Yeah, it has flaws (like an annoying ending) - though that doesn't stop it from being a good movie overall.

I've heard a bunch of good things about it, so I'm looking forward to seeing it myself~

Christmas movie, maybe Home Alone I saw Zombieland on Sky recently, and it's become one of my favourite films ever, it was better than Shaun of the Dead, of which I hold high regard for. I also saw Slumdog Millionaire again at the weekend, excellent film, albeit grim and bleak, but that's what also makes it what it is.

See, I put Zombieland on an equal level as Shaun of the Dead, like I do US and British sitcoms. Different ways to approach similar genres. I don't rate one better than the other, as I find them both to be very good.
I watched Slumdog Millionaire while I was away, and I have to agree that it was a very good film.

I prefer Zombieland to most other movies myself! :V I saw it in the cinema when it came out, I love both that and the men who stare at goats!
Tallahasse is just so many kinds of win its brilliant. Bill Murrays cameo was also genius B>

The Muppets films are fantastic!!! Actually I think the Muppets Christmas Carol is on today or tomorrow as well - I'll have to watch that ^_^ I have to agree about the American comedies. I've never really been keen on that sort of thing either - much prefer British comedy I'll keep my eye out for other films coming out. I did go to see the new Tron film last week but to be honest I thought the storyline wasn't done very well. It could have been an awesome film and to be honest, the CGI effects etc were pretty amazing but the rest was a bit pants

Agreed on the Tron thing.
Also on the comedy thing. British comedy just rocks American. Mostly because America don't seem to understand tongue-in-cheek, sarcasm or irony. :S
Also I LOVE MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL. must watch that again this year ^^ lol.

Muppets Christmas Carol is so very, very cool. I saw it for the first time this Christmas and was not disappointed.
I agree about Tron - while pretty lights and effects are all very shiny, a good film they do not make.

I finally saw Defiance (Daniel Craig anyone?) today. That is one awesome film. I'd definitely recommend to anyone who likes war films, though I have to admit that I don't know how accurate it was, even though it says that it's based on a true story. It also took me ages to work out who the guy playing Zus was - it was the guy who played Sabertooth in X-Men Origins

I thought you'd already seen Defiance? I thought that was the one in which you did the plane impression in the cinema and upset those old people? (*lmao remembering you telling me that*) I take it that was a different film?
