Hey everybody!! I just thought that I'd let you all know that I've made another skin for the forum, and yes, it's a Bleach themed one. There are still a few images (e.g. the buttons such as "reply" etc) that I haven't changed for it yet, but the rest is pretty much done, so please feel free to have a look and let me know what you think  Faye x |

I like it. Mostly. having the dark background against the white writing is cool. I think i may start hating the orange. But that's my taste nothing critical against the skin. The only thing I'll say is the dark green for the name of the subsections is . . . wrong is the best i can come up with. its hard to read and kinda makes the boards seem flat or like a single image or something. I'd say use something like the bright blue in the banner. it really needs to be a bright colour to pop out at people and be easier to read/navigate. could just be me though.

going back and looking at it the orange helps the sections pop out and looks cool. but the green melds into blandness.

To be honest, I'm not fond of it. I also don't like the green, and there just seems too many random colours used, especially compared to the likes of the Samurai skin. That manages to use a limited number of colours, instead using different shades of green, and the sections still stand out.
Also don't really like the background pattern, which again are more colours. Just really over-done, and makes the place looks quite amateur and just like a poor fansite. Your other skins give the site, and in-turn it's own distinctive look without having to cash in on a specific series (Or at least I don't recognise the Samurai header being from a specific series).

Thanks for the feedback I hate to sound big-headed, but I was a little surprised neither of you like it, as I love the logo and kinda thought it was better than the samurai one I made previously xD But you both make good points, so I've tried to tighten down the colour scheme. The green for the links and board names etc has gone, replaced by the bright blue as suggested. I also toned down the brightness of the orange in the logo and got rid of most of the green in the logo so that it's a lot more blue and fits a bit better with the background. I may change the background in the future, but at the moment I don't have any more ideas. And I like stripes  I could probably edit it to be similar to the samurai skin, with a black block behind the posts, perhaps? |

Oooh wow, I've just gotten on to my desktop (I made the skin on my laptop earlier), and I can completely see exactly what you meant with your comments, especially with the background. I'm going to tone down the saturation on the background when I have a spare five minutes and see how it looks then |

much better. you'll notice that the writing now pops out at each stage tricking the eyes into believing its almost 3d and staggered in a proper organised fashion. I didn't object to the banner. just the way it looked like flat and un-navigatable. Now its fixed. I like it. Not sure how long it'll stay but i'll leave it for a while as my skin

I thought I may as well post this in here rather than starting a new thread on the same topic..... I have just gotten rid of the previous Bleach skin, as I really wasn't happy with it  But, I've been working on making a new one to replace it, and voila, the new Bleach skin has appeared! I admit, it's way pinker than planned. I promise - it was supposed to be blue  Any comments are appreciated |

I like it. kinda. The whole red writing on red background sucks though. Like the topic and subforum names AND member names are all in red on the red background. not sure of a colour that you could use though, since black is taken by the writing, maybe white? And then the green for some of the mods names just clashes and is soo wrong.

Trust me, I don't do pink either XD Which is why I'm annoyed this all turned pink.... I may see if I can smidge it a bit to get it more orange than pink though ^_^
I'll work on the colours for links (member names and board titles), but I can't change what colour the mods names are. I thought making the links a darker shade of the background would work, as it's what I've done on most skins before (aside from the previous Bleach one), but I guess that's just me that thought that ^^" I'll work on the colours.
