Hey guys! Discussion has broken out slightly on the "Ball" of EACON. Every convention really needs one of these lovely organised dances yet we do not have a solid idea on how it should be... So here's some choices for you.
You can post more than once if there are a few you wouldn't mind and some you hate the idea of etc. And you can also withdraw your idea at any time.
The reason that this is an interesting topic is that for the cosplay auction we are trying to decide when the cosplayer that has been bought must fulfill their promise with their buyer. So we're suggesting a dance with the buyer. There will be nighttime events where dancing is possible, of course, but we are here trying to decide whether or not the dance should take place during the Ball or not. Obviously this limits cosplayers if it is only formal cosplay allowed in the ball.
If you would rather that the ball not be the place for the bought cosplayers for example and just want formal dress and black tie then go for that one. If you want the cosplayers to be allowed in no matter whether they were bought or not than go for any cosplay is allowed.
The other option for this poll is the idea that the cosplayers who are bought at the only ones let into the Ball, and will be given a sticker or a pass or something. If you want he ball, for example, to be only formal dress and black tie, but want the cosplayers to be allowed to dance with their buyers then select the "Formal dress and black tie" option AS WELL AS the "Special Pass option". You can combine them however you like. If the Special Pass option ecome very popular then we may simply combine it with whatever other option has also been popularly chosen.
Does this make sense?

I think, let people wear formal cosplay if they want, but no jeans, trainers etc :I Cosplays as well within reason should be allowed too  |

I love the idea of a masquerade! I don't mind either way, though; I think at least semi-formal on the cosplay front though, maybe with just exceptions for people bought in the cosplay auction XD

It would be my opinion to say no this outfit is not formal, unless you switch the trainers for proper nice shoes. The jeans I can overlook because they're black but I think the trainers are a deal-breaker right there... :S |

Btw Ren, I've been trying to put up with it and hope that the code will work but atm your avatar is being a pain. Sometimes it comes out as it's original size and I have to refresh my page before the code kicks in and makes it smaller. Would you mind giving the HTML a helping hand and just making your avatar 100x100? |

Lol no my friend, I meant can you actually resize the image? The forum's size edits are getting upset with the code, so if you could resize the actual image to 100x100 and re-upload it then all would be fine ^^

if you want to do a pass type dance as well then maybe mark that as a charity dance or something similer, but otherwise for the cosplay auction make it cosplays and the buyers |
