So first off its not Wii 2, its current codename is project cafe.
A playable version of the console will be shown at E3 (aparrantly)
And it seems to be that 3D will not a be a feature of the console (Hell yes.... Hell yes)
However HD will finally be arriving late to the party for nintendo. Aparantly the console will be made with the intention of making it more compatible with cross-console development techniques to get more third party developers on-side, aparantly nintendo has stated games like Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat 9 can be supported on the new console. Nintendo not looking to the future there aparantly.
""Nintendo is doing this one right," said an anonymous source. "[It's] not a gimmick like the Wii."" We can only hope. But if they consider the 3ds line of games to be not gimmicky too, its already looking gloomy from my point of view.

Here's (aparantly) a leaked document these things tend to be bull but ya never know, but aparnatly the controlers will be ..... PSP go's? "Screen streaming" hints at the ability to show whats on your TV on your controller/ (probably) portable console.... so a PSP GO then.

Well what do you all think? Excited, bored, wondering why the hell nintendo is even trying to get back into the good books of moderate to "hardcore" gamers.
For me, I 'm not going ot be hyper critical of it before any hard details are out, but I have no confidence in nintendo, I don't like most nintendo first party titles even old franchises like Zelda and Mario, while I can understand why people want to revist them... not me. (Why I ragged on the 3ds game line-up being essentially N64 games in 3D) If that controller turns out to be legit... Im against it already, I don't want to be distracted by a second screen for gaming, I usually game and watch tv or something at the same time anyway. Requiring paying attention to a second screen for games (though this may not be required I imagine something similar to quick time events where you suddenly have to do something on the conroller screen) is a no-no for me. I also don't think it looks comfortable to hold, but hell that could so easily be wrong.
