Hey, this is your resident lurker, finally posting this journal, to which he aimed to do like when he first joined? Enough about me in the third person! My name is Kamal, and I'm twenty years old, I have just finished my National Diploma in Media and am going on to do Editing and Post Production at University. You may wonder as to why I'm only now going to Uni, seeing as it’s quite late, in truth I screwed up AS levels so I leaped at the closest course I could! The Editing course isn't just on how to edit using Final Cut Pro, it's also how to build the damned machines. So yeah I'm a bit of a techie (and maybe a treky though it depends whose askin') Other than that I'm the only member in my family that doesn't wear glasses, that and I live down in the Suffolk. Which if you don't know where it is, it's the South East!
Currently I'm the tallest one in my family, standing up at a gargantuan 6 foot 5 (which isn't including my afro). I've got a large build, more rugby/American football sort of build, unlucky for me, my grandfathers ginger hair didn't come through, and so I'm stuck with a boring black afro. (I mean come on how cool would that be! A black guy with a ginger fro'!) Other than that I'm a pretty relaxed sort of guy, one of those people who can fit with any social 'group' but can't be branded. I take everything in my stride really, the majority of my life leaping into action when the time for it comes (usually last minute). Though on occasion I'm known to actually be organised, even if those moments are few and far between.
Naturally I'm a traveller, my family having moved around the world, my accent reflects this. Some people say ask if I'm American, others call its Trans-Atlantic, I just think I have a weird ass accent. Dream wise I have got a fair few, putting aside the obvious pass Uni, get a job etc. Most of my dreams tend to do with either falling thousands of meters in the sky, or to travel around the world some more. Currently the immediate dream is before I'm 25 to skydive once. After watching videos, being told about it, it's always excited me, and I can't wait for the time I'll save enough money to do so! Other things are like visiting China, Japan, Brazil, Australia, India, all those places. Anything long term is too far to think about right now.
Only reason I think that is because I was 16 and wanted to do Aeronautical Engineering, yet now I'm doing Film editing...
Other than that I feel here is the best place to continue my list from my Intro post!

Other than that, I'll just be spamming this thread full of little snippets of my very dull life!

Alright, just saying at the beginning of any post for this journal I'll be putting up the songs I was listening to, so that ya'll can get a true feel of ma mood!
I called it that mainly because, that's what I'm doing during this post. Fresh strawberries, a light Saturday evening, and me chilling in front of the computer whilst posting. In all honesty once a week I give myself a 'Lazy Day'. The aim is to literally have one entire day to myself, not really leaving the house or getting dressed. Just being a bum in the usual hectic time I have. It used to be Tuesday, then it moved to Sunday and now its Saturday. You may wonder, what could I possibly be doing to take an entire day to myself? Well nothing huge this week gone by, did my gym and went to a mates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So yea I usually do gym 3 times a week though the one before I was lazy and did it only twice. On Thursday I performed at a gig, I sing with one of my best friends who plays the guitar and sings. One would think that this large black guy is all about the bass, but my vocal range is quite large. I am more of a Baritone, though on good nights I can go back to my old Tenor roots.
The gig was at a pub near mine, my mate had set up an Open Mic night there and for some strange reason I was bricking it. Seriously I was quite nervous, when usually on Thursday nights, I'm at the local Jam Night (musicians come together and get called up and make something up on the spot) and its fine then. Yet this time in the smaller space, without the annoying lights or the many band members surrounding me. It was more personal, the audience was older, and more intent on what words came from my mouth, what meaning was behind them. It was brilliant, and afterwards, I beat boxed whilst my mate did some free styling to me. Last night I went out with some friends for a mate’s birthday bash, which is a good laugh, nothing huge, since we are all going out for student night on Monday. That and tomorrow with the same group we have a mini barbeque/piss up so it shall be interesting.
Problem I'm having is forcing myself to do one essay to hand in for Monday, in doing that I'll get the highest marks on the course, but to be honest I really can't be bothered. The temptation of having the PSN back online and getting Braid or Flow is so much. But I shall resist! The essay is small, hell it’s not even an essay its adding to one and typing up 200 words. But there lies the problem!! It so small you think that you can do it in like an hour, so you put it off over and over and over! Its madness I tell you!
Or Its just me being lazy....
