Did someone say RADWIMPS? 83
RADWIMPS are real easy listening ^__^ And a lot of their songs are upbeat or just nice sounding - You do get some that are quite fast paced and FUNKAYYY with some bass slapping ^__^
Their lyrics are also very pretty - As you can see in my signature ^_^ But I recommend listening to おしゃかしゃま for an example of their fast paced fun stuff ANNNDDD オーダーメイド for some of their calmer, more easy listening ^__^
The vocalist has AMAZING English ^_^ He spent a few years abroad so you can understand his English very well ^__^

Just had a quick myspace of the ones honey suggested: - Worlds end girlfriend: Mindblowing is an understatement...wow! Just...wow! Although can't find CDs on ebay and they are mind blowingly expensive on amazon lol...where can I get some albums?
- RADWIMPS: Pretty cool, not sure they are something I would listen to much though.
- BLOOD STAIN CHILD: Hmm, not sure techno and metal works. Not a big fan of hardcore vocals either.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I really enjoyed that song; bizarrely enough the sound of it reminded me of Puffy and Shonen Knife!

Watch your double posts Boy Wonder. You can use the Modify button to add something to your previous post, rather than posting twice in a row ^^.
And totally with the Hide and Gackt.
I'm also glad Hisaishi got a mention ^^ I have a playlist of his music on my WMP ^^.

Ah! Sorry, for the double post! I was under the belief that I had put it all in to one post. I blame the lack of sleep, proper meals (no clean dishes with which to eat them with) and the caffeine abuse! ;D Speaking of Gackt, I do love Redemption and Longing from the Dirge of Cerberus soundtrack.

A Pink Spider fan? Hallo! hide; I love his hair, ridiculous facial expressions and his album titles! The titles 'hide Your Face' and 'Psyence' made me smile. I do wish artists would come up with more interesting album titles - looking at you Rihanna ('Loud'), SMAP ('We Are SMAP!'), Beyonce ('B'Day' and 'I Am...Sasha Fierce') and ZE:A ('Nativity'). Ahhh, the first Japanese rock song I heard was from the (surprisingly underrated) pop duo Puffy. The song was Urei. It's one energetic piece! I believe after that the next Japanese rock song I heard was from garage rock band Guitar Wolf, as a member gave them the fantastic guitar rifts in the extended Teen Titans song. I can't, however, remember who the first Visual Kei artist I listened to was. It may well have been any one of the following: Hyde, Gackt, Miyavi, Malice Mizer, Alice Nine or L'Arc En Ciel. Since they pretty much dominate the Visual Kei scene. Now, I'm trying to find the underrated acts* of the Japanese music scene since many of the major music acts (Ayumi, Kumi, Kay, BoA etc) are in decline sales and relevance-wise. Only Arashi and Utada Hikaru seemed to have weathered the storm that has afflicted their contemporaries. Doesn't help that the Hallyu-wave is in full strength either. *AYA (not to be confused with Aya Kamiki) an underground Japanese rock artist whose talent attracted the attentions of a Grammy-award winner. She's heavily influenced by the nineties Seattle rock scene and her seven track EP, 'Kinjirareta Uta', is worth checking out. /coolstorybro

Indeed! Hi! Ahhh hide's haaaair! I give him so many kudos for keeping up with that.... I used to have pink hair and it was such high maintenance XD 2 washes and it would just fade -__- XD The facial expressions still crack me up every time haha XD He was so fun to do a project on in my textiles class at college a couple of years back ^_^ And I KNOW! There is such a gap in witty titles now... I loved his song album etc. titles with his plays on words and stuff - Just made things fun and memorable! Ahhh, cool ^^ I think my first J-song overall was Asterisk by Orange Range hahaha XD Ahh the memories! "Hyde, Gackt, Miyavi, Malice Mizer, Alice Nine or L'Arc En Ciel. Since they pretty much dominate the Visual Kei scene" - Those are more or less the first load of VK artists I heard too XD But I also had the GazettE and some more obscure ones such as Juka or Shaura as he is now known^_^ I KNOW HER! XD Yeah - checked out Aya a while ago as a friend recommended her to me - Love the bass in that song but gahh I have this annoying thing where I am never really too keen on female voices (likes a deep masculine voice) XD But yeah from a non-personal point of view that song is pretty decent XD

I'm gonna have to check out *AYA. I love that Puffy song! Lol. Kinda sounds like some of the 90s stuff from over here but far cooler because it's japanese and over there they know how to play instruments. lol. I also think that cute female japanese voices stop it being crappy and make it fun ^^. Like this girl: ((I love all her different outfits in this vid lol. so funny...)) That's so cool Ren! That's the first opening song for the anime Bleach ^^.

Nothing from ABS at the minute, Flawless Flower ^_^
They came November 2009 - Was an awesome show ^_^ And they promised to be back, but of course, Takanori is now doing some T.M. Revolution stuff again~ And he has been preoccupied with the Stand Up! Japan stuffs~
HOWEVER, if they announce any time soon, I will post info in the Gig thread of this section ^_^ No worries! :3 *salute*

Had an epic moment with Takanori at that gig - he was walking around the street and I was being too shy to go see him XD Then later he came over to where I was in the queue and asked for a photo XD Suddenly everyone bundled us XDDD He is a real nice guy!
