In case you hadn't noticed by now - I am a bit of a Bleach fanatic  So, I figured it would be nice to start up a discussion of the anime, where the lovely Bleach fans can chat about the newest episodes as and when they emerge. I will say this now though - as this thread is specifically catering to the anime, please try not to refer to events in the manga  I'll be honest: I haven't read the manga for a long time, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who keeps up with the anime and not the manga, so please bare this in mind when posting. So.... "OMG ICHIGO IS BACK" anyone? D: |

I have been very impressed with what I've watched since getting back from New Zealand. Which is to say I stopped watching when the last fillers began. Didn't take me too long to catch up which is good in some ways.
Am just hoping the fights between the other captains vs Aizen doesn't last too long before Ichigo gets involved. Also wondering when Gin will do something more as well, as I want to see that smirk get knocked off his mug xD

Mm yeah, I agree completely. As soon as Ichigo appeared, I was really looking forward to seeing him fight, but at the back of my mind, all I could think was, "Nah, there's no way he's going to get in there straight away", and lo and behold, the Captains and Vaizard stepped in. Though I have to say, it was really cool to see Hitsugaya lose it like that!
I don't blame you for starting after the fillers... I did quite like the zanpakuto arc, but it's still annoying when the main storyline suddenly cuts off like that xD

I didn't mind the Bount arc, as it took place after the Soul Society arc ended. But the way they just threw fillers in seemingly half-way through a story really pissed me off.
And as much as I like Hitsugaya, I thought it was pretty rubbish story-telling to have him make that big speech about fighting for duty, and then start fighting with anger as he had.

Haha yeah, but that's what made it funnier, because he was being so hypocritical xD
I have to say though, in regards to fillers, I really loved the Arabian Nights style episode that was thrown in when Ichigo left Hueco Mundo - I couldn't stop laughing the whole way though xD

Bits were funny, but I nearly lost it when I saw that in the preview for the next episode. Luckily it was just a one-off to celebrate the manga anniversary.

Was a little bit annoyed that today's episode was basically just flashbacks..... Though I think I got a peek of Ichigo's dad in shinigami uniform at the end of next week's preview...? Intermeresting~

Trust me, the storyline (aside from wandering into filler episodes/storylines) is really awesome at the moment in the anime! I can't wait for each week's episode now ^^ The last two were stupid fillers, so I'm hoping they'll get back on track soon.... Otherwise I might just pull my hair out!

Yeah, it does look like Bleach will be back on track next week. The last 2 filler episode, more so the first one, was just to promote the 4th Movie which is out now/soon in Japan.
Personally, I'm skipping season 4 and 5 of Bleach on DVD for the time being, though that being said, I still need to finish season 3 when I have some money. Will look at getting season 6 and later ones, though 7 does have a bit of filler for what is only a 20 ep season, and the rest of the show that is in Hueco Mundo drags a lot. Not touching seasons 9 or 13. Season 14, the current season, has been a lot better in terms of pacing, of course ignoring the 3 filler eps.

CR these days is a completely legal site  Yes, Bleach is on season 14 in Japan, with episode 300 coming out next. Seasons 9 and 13 though are filler and can be skipped, as can 4 & 5, although you've already started those. |

I wasn't getting at ya, I was just pointing out that CrunchyRoll is legal, as some people don't like fansubs due to them breaking copyright. The stuff on CR though is all legal, so if you want to watch Bleach, and don't want to feel like your stealing, then that's the place to go. That being said, I don't know how much of the older episodes they have, as they only picked it up a few months ago.
