CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
Hello fellow Otaku.
I'm here to announce the first EACON competition in the form of a Mascot design contest.
In a post below I shall shortly be composing bios for one of the clans' mascots. From these we offer any artists on the forum to create an image of the pair. When you've created your piece simply attach it to a post and send it to us privately in an email, or display it with pride on this thread.
The rules are very simple - So long as you create something that follows the bios and appearance ques we'll be posting you have free reign.
The winner of the contest will have their art displayed in the Official EACON ConBook.
Please also bear in mind that we're looking for an artist to design the con artwork for the whole event so if you think you've got what it takes then show off your skills and start making us look your way ;-)

We'll put the date up when we have a few entries. We don't want to risk no-one entering before the submission date because they're busy with Christmas etc. ^^ |

There are three clans in total: Sorcerers, Samurai and Shinigami.
Me and Faye already have the basic idea for the two mascots (girl and boy) for each clan.
We also have an idea for a small creature mascot for EACON as a whole but we'll get back to you on that later.
For now, we are simply looking for artists who we might want to do the con art and offering the chance for people to show off their skills through this competition. We simply chose one of the clans at random - in this case Sorcerers for people to create art of.
Does this make sense? |

thought id make sure and i like the idea of the creature i dunno why but i have the image of it in the background of the dealer badges getting in trouble XD ill proberbly jump in on this when i have time

And that's fine - feel free to join in.
I think we'll post a deadline for this after the holidays though as the logo design comp isn't going very fast. Hopefully adding a deadline in will speed this one up... |

I have a start on Saki done. Will post it tomorrow as I need to hook up my scanner and stuffs. this is just my prelim, will do full character designs soon.

If that outfit were translated to fit a male form that would be perfect for Shinji I think. We were thinking a more sailor suit style outfit for Saki. But to be perfectly honest right now I don't care - that looks really cool!!! ^^ Though I think I'm becoming hyper over the idea of one of the characters actually taking form lol. If you want to stick with that outfit for her then feel free because it looks awesome, if you wanted comments on how it could be more like me and Faye-san imagined my comment would be to make it more sailor uniform like. But it's up to you ^^. I have a start on Saki done. Will post it tomorrow as I need to hook up my scanner and stuffs. this is just my prelim, will do full character designs soon.
