Heya, in doing up more character sketches I found myself wondering about the characters and the supposed school they're going to and the world in which they inhabit. do you have more information on that?
Also emma and I will be doing a joint picture of both saki and shinji. but I don't see the need for joint character sheets. it will just limit the amount of information given on them.

We hadn't gone so far as to discuss the world in which they inhabit or anything, as their profiles are still skeletal...
So, for this competition specifically I guess you can make up anything?
In terms of school I don't know about Faye but I was kinda imagining a really posh, rich school where they happen to learn magic. Like the schools in Ouran or Code Geass.
Again, for this competition you can use your imagination. It won't matter if they're slightly different from the end profile because it'll just be like you're using your imagination, and we'll probably build the remaining details of their portfolios off of what you create here ^^.
And I'm sorry but I don't get what you mean by character sheets? |

Okay I see what you mean. You're welcome to make character sheets if you want and keep the sheets apart if that's better. But you don't necessarily need to create character sheets for the competition. We're more or less just looking for a piece of your artwork that we can have in the conbook ^^. We'll be developing the mascots further with the artist we decide to use for the convention as a whole.
If you want to though then of course you're more than welcome ^^. The more ideas the merrier ^^. |

Okay I must have read the competition wrong, I thought this was a mascot design competition, not a picture competition. Therefore I'm doing a character design sheets for it. You really should have made that clearer

I'm sorry, I thought I made it clear with this bit: Specifically the "create an image of the pair" bit.
If we had needed you to design a character from scratch we wouldn't have needed to give you any information on their appearance at all, surely... :S
I didn't realise that the instructions we gave could have been read wrong so I apologise for that.
Like I said, you're still welcome to create character sheets if you like, but the main idea of the competition was to create a piece of artwork for the conbook... :S |

As I have said in the past, Faye-san and myself have now decided on a deadline for this and the Logo Design Competition. As the holidays are over we hope that people will now have more time to get their entries done.
The new deadline is:
14/02/11
That's right - Valentine's day is easy to remember so I thought this would be a good date to choose ^^.

This is what me and Faye are thinking. I was hoping that Askante and Crest would come back with their completed work but apparently not - I haven't heard from them.
So I think I'm gonna take your advice Tony...
This competition is now post-poned until further notice when we shall offer the opportunity to design any of the six mascots. Please be patient until that time and I hope there will be more entrants in the future ^^. |
